Biography

Mr. Hellwinkel is the Chief Technology Officer of Figure Technology Solutions, Inc., where he leads the company’s technology strategy and engineering operations. He brings more than 14 years of experience in software engineering, spanning fintech innovation, nonprofit services, and large-scale systems development. Since joining Figure in 2018 as one of its first engineers, Matt has been instrumental in building and scaling the blockchain-powered platforms that underpin the company’s lending and capital markets businesses. Prior to Figure, he worked at the Student Assistance Foundation, a nonprofit student loan servicing organization, developing technology solutions to support higher education finance. Matt studied Computer Science at Montana State University before beginning his career as a software engineer.
